Upgrade works by the Department for Infrastructure and Transport will require temporary traffic changes on Raglan Avenue between South Road and Wilfrid Street.

Raglan Avenue day‑time traffic changes: Wednesday 4 – Friday 6 March

Raglan Avenue will be temporarily reduced to westbound traffic only from 6am Wednesday 4 March to 7pm Friday 6 March 2026.

Please note:

  • Access to the car park near Hungry Jack’s and Target may be restricted to left‑turn movements only - both when entering from Raglan Avenue and when exiting back onto Raglan Avenue. Visibility may also be limited during this time.
  • Access to Brooks Terrace from Raglan Avenue will be closed.
Raglan Avenue night‑time traffic changes: Tuesday 3 March – early May

Raglan Avenue will be closed for night works between 7pm and 6am daily from Tuesday 3 March to early May 2026. The road will reopen to traffic each morning.

Accessing the Centre

Castle Plaza will remain accessible throughout the works via South Road, Furness Avenue, Lindsay Way, and Flinders Street/Brooks Terrace.

Pedestrian and cyclist access may be adjusted at times, with signage in place to guide safe movement through the area.

Bus Stop 15 on Raglan Avenue will remain in place, with services operating as usual.

Emergency vehicle access will be maintained at all times.

Why these works are happening

The works form part of the River Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Project. These changes will improve east-west connections in Edwardstown and Melrose Park to save you time.

Works include installing stormwater drains and utilities, removing existing footpaths, and preparing the area for new kerbs, footpaths and pavement.
