We would like to invite families to experience together a 'Welcome to Country' workshop designed to be informative, inspire creativity and introduce younger leaders to what NAIDOC Week means to all Australians.

What is NAIDOC week?
NAIDOC Week celebrates the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Celebrated by all Australians and a great opportunity to learn more about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. For more information head to

What is a Welcome to Country ceremony?
'Welcome to Country' is a formal process which recognises both Aboriginal people from another Country and non Aboriginal people. The Welcome can only be undertaken by Kaurna people having the authority and respect within the Kaurna people to represent Kaurna. Speeches and other forms of ceremony may be involved.
